I know a dealer that has two of these NOS. I’m tempted but the way to do a deal is to buy them both.
anyone like to suggest what they ought to cost?
and anyone here fancy buying with me?

I’m kind of a movement snob, which is why I gravitate towards hi-beat and won’t touch solar, kinetic, or even Spring Drive.

Is a high beat a quartz movement like my Bulova precisionist watch?

i like the date at 6, Daven: provides symmetry.

i'm surprised no one here has expressed an interest in the Big Boss. it's a cool watch, not easy to find in good condition, cool holey metal keeper (some have rubber, but these are metal to match the case) and the skeleton hands are class imo. i might just try to do a deal for both of them and put one on ebay to see how it plays out, but i was thinking that a Seiko enthusiast here might buy alongside me.

Being in England complicates the issue. And i’m sure it would be too dear for my blood?

from SeikoWatches.com: “Kinetic” is one of our unique watches, which contains an internal electrical generator operated by the kinetic movement of the user’s wrist. The generated electricity is stored in a rechargeable battery that requires replacement less frequently than the conventional cell battery in a quartz watch.
